To help resolve orthodontic problems, not all braces are the same. The appropriate use of dentofacial orthopedics often distinguishes the difference between orthodontic specialists. If there are obvious problems which exist that could be intercepted or prevented from getting worse, we may advise you to have your child undergo a First Phase Orthopedic Treatment.

Orthopedic treatment can be initiated on many types of bite problems before all of the permanent teeth are present. Orthopedic treatment is necessary in many cases when the child’s teeth, lips or jaws don’t look normal for their age. Getting early correction often improves the child’s self-esteem giving them a head-start in social development.

We strive to make younger children’s experience with us fun and rewarding and, most importantly, we take the time to educate and motivate our patients.

We welcome parents to come to our treatment area for instructions and progress updates so that you can feel comfortable knowing your child’s treatment is progressing as planned.
